Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re already aware that the word in color for walls and woodwork is light neutrals. In fact, you can hardly visit a home for rent or sale that doesn’t feature some shade of tan, or gray walls, with white woodwork. It’s a classic combination, that frankly suits us just fine.
That being the case, it should come as no surprise that our most popular line of cabinet doors from our cabinet wholesaler, Fabuwood, features two shades of gray, and one in white. These classic doors are perfect for traditional to modern interiors, where a bit of weight in the design line is needed.
Classic transitional styling
For houses that have classic good taste, with a modern flair, transitional trim and woodwork styles are ideal. They combine the simple, elegant lines of minimal modern design, with just enough detail to create visual interest and tie in more traditional elements. This can be a tricky balance, but Fabuwood’s designers nail it in every category.
The Allure Onyx collection features wide, square-edged rails and styles, with a generous center drop panel. The transitional detailing here is in the panel molding, that gently blends the drop panel and frame, with a bevel miter face, and a slightly rounded inside edge.
This trimwork stops short of the fussier beaded panel trims of more traditional cabinetry, excellent for more lavish classic spaces, for a clean line that bridges the modern and traditional elements cleanly.
Elegantly crafted Fabuwood doors
If you haven’t explored the Fabuwood brand yet, you should. We selected them for their Q12 quality promise, encompassing 12 points of quality control inspection for every piece of cabinetry that leaves their plant. The Allure Onyx door line is no exception.
Each fabuwood door is crafted with machined precision mortise and tenon joints in all four corners to ensure strength and squareness. They are hand-assembled and then each unit is inspected before installation.
Every Allure Onyx door features the same great features.
- Full overlay door with mortise and tenon construction
- Solid wood door frames with ⅜” MDF center panel
- Compact Blumotion soft-close mechanism integrated with concealed six-way adjustable hinges
Matching drawer fronts
One of the features we like best about Fabuwood cabinets is their fully adjustable drawer fronts. Using proprietary technology, each drawer front is fastened in place with specialty hardware that allows for up to ⅜ inch adjustment in any direction.
I know it might not sound like a big deal, but let me explain. Have you ever had a drawer get slightly out of whack? Maybe the drawer front is just an eighth-inch off-center with the door below or tilts at just a slight angle only you can see. Adjustable drawer fronts have got you covered. Over time, even the best built and installed cabinets can require adjustment and the fact that Fabuwood has factored this in for you, makes us love them even more.
Each drawer face features the same great rail and style design, with a drop panel and transitional molding, Fabuwood goes above and beyond in the quality department. Every Allure Onyx drawer features:
- 5-piece recessed panel drawer fronts
- ⅝” solid birch drawer box with dovetail construction
- Tandem plus Blumotion full extension concealed drawer runners
Trust me on this, you don’t know you need full-extension guides until you have to live without them, after having them. No more awkward hard to reach spots in the backs of your drawers.
Top quality finishes
Fabuwood has developed its own proprietary finish processes, incorporated into its Q12 quality protocol. They only work with the best finish products and extend the same great exterior finish to the inside of every door and drawer faces and the interior of each cabinet box.
Finish upgrades are available with the Allure Onyx line. Various high sheen finishes can be applied to your Allure Onyx doors and cabinets by special order.
Allure Onyx Cobblestone
The darkest of the trio, Cobblestone is a dark gray, with chocolatey undertones for a rich, luxurious feel. Fabuwood’s excellent finish process creates a satisfyingly smooth color, without hiding the subtle woodgrain in the solid wood frames.
Allure Onyx Horizon
The medium shade in this collection features a cloudlike, medium gray finish. With Horizon, Fabuwood has created a refreshing take on neutral. This light gray stain blends well with a wide range of color palettes, ranging from cool to warm. This pewter hue stain matches well with granite, marble, or quartz. The subtle coloring allows for a wide range of tile options as well.
Allure Onyx Frost
If clean white is your thing, the Allure Onyx Frost finish is for you. The soft white stain avoids the dated feel of “pickled” finishes while allowing subtle hints of wood grain underneath. Pair it with dark bold colors for high contrast, or go light with your countertops and tile for a clean, bright modern look. Either way, the tough Fabuwood finish is easy to clean and maintain, for long-lasting beauty.
Blum door and drawer hardware
Soft close hinges are the norm these days, but the Blum Blumotion line allows for full adjustment, up, down, in and out and tilt right or left, versus the standard two adjustments. These concealed hinges are silent, require no lubrication, are self-closing, rugged and corrosion-resistant.
When it comes to full extension guides, the Blum brand is synonymous with quality. These glides not only make your drawers auto soft close, and completely accessible, but increase the load capacity to hold even your heaviest kitchen tools and utensils. Those little gadgets from Pampered Chef add up, you know.
Limited 5 Year Warranty
